1. Window / Animation – This will bring the Animation panel containing all the layers and timeline.
2. Now open up the 3D animation layer on the 3D object you like to animate. Anything with a stop watch icon can be animated. The default animation FPS is 30FPS (frames per seconds).
3. To start the animation process, click on the stop watch icon of the property you want to animate. This will insert a yellow diamond shape into your timeline.
4. Then click and drag the timeline to a different timeline. In this example we are using the position property, so click and drag on the 3D object to move it somewhere on the canvas. When you move the 3D object, this will automatically create a gray diamond shape in the timeline. If you make a mistake, you can right click on the diamond shape and select delete.
5. If you hit the space bar on your keyboard, this will play the animation and if you hit the space while the animation is playing this will pause the animation.
7. You can animate the Position, Opacity, Style, 3D Object Position, 3D Camera Position, 3D Tender Settings, and 3D Cross Section.

8. That’s the basic tutorial for 3D animation in Photoshop CS4.
