Best WordPress statistic plugins
Installing statistic plugins or an invisible counter on your WordPress websites will give you a better understanding of your internet traffic. These plugins collect data on individuals computer, location, ip, browser versions, operation systems, length of stay, returning visitors, what page they land on, what keywords they use, and more.
Having these data can help you keep track of your visitors.
Below are some of the most powerful statistic or counter plugins for WordPress.

This is pretty much the same thing if you were to use the original Google Analytics, but the big difference is this plugin is install right inside your site. You don’t need to go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ to login. Just login to your dashboard and all the data is right there.

WordPress.com Stats

There are hundreds of plugins and services which can provide statistics about your visitors. However even though something like Google Analytics provides an incredible depth of information, it can be overwhelming and doesn’t really highlight what’s most interesting to me as a writer. That’s why Automattic created its own stats system, to focus on just the most popular metrics a blogger wants to track and provide them in a clear and concise interface.
WassUp

WassUp is a WordPress plugin to track your visitors in real-time. It has a very readable and fancy admin console to keep track of your visitors that gives you a detailed view into almost everything your users are doing on your site. It is very useful for SEO or statistics maniacs.
WP-Stats-Dashboard
Display your blog’s stats graph plus your blog traffic, social engagement and social influence directly in your dashboard. See how you’re ranking on Alexa, check out your Technorati authority, monitor your ranking across multiple sites and much more. Once you install this plugin you’ll wonder how you ever managed to track your social media worth without it.
Feed Statistics
Feed Statistics is a plugin for WordPress blogs that tracks statistics for your RSS/Atom feeds, including the number of subscribers, which feed readers they’re using, which posts they’re viewing and which links they’re clicking on.
Feed Stats for WordPress (reworked for PHP 5.3)
Feed Stats for WordPress (reworked for PHP 5.3) is a plugin, based on Feed Stats for WordPress that allows you to view your FeedBurner feed stats from inside of the WordPress admin interface. Stats for your feed can be viewed from the “Feed Stats” page in the “Dashboard” section of WordPress.
The original plugin seems not longer developed, so I decide to rework it and make it work with PHP 5.3+
My pick
I personally have Google Analytic and StaCounter currently install. I think both plugins are the best and you too can try both of them out at once. However, I no longer look at the stats on Google Analytic because I’m more comfortable with StatCounter. I find Google Analytic a bit overwhelming and much of those data I don’t really need to see. I highly recommend trying out both Google Analytic and StaCounter then decide which one you prefer.
