CS4 Cross Section animation tutorial

This is a basic Cross Section 3D animation tutorial. The Cross Section is a cool visual trick for any professions.

To create Cross Section animation:

1. Open up Photoshop CS4, then import a 3D object or create a 3D object.

2. Select the 3D layer and checkmark the Cross Section to enable it.

3. Have your animation panel, Window / Animation and click on the time clock icon on the 3D Cross Section animation layer to set the first frame.

4. Increase the Offset of the X-Axis to make it the starting point of the cross section animation.

5. Then scrub the timeline about 3 seconds and increase or decrease the offset at X-Axis. Remember you can also animate in the Tilt A and Tilt B.

6. Go back to the start of the animation and hit the spacebar to view your cross section animation.
