Exporting 3D animations with Photoshop CS4

When you save your animations inside Photoshop CS4, you are saving all the animations in the .PSD file format.

However, the .PSD file format is not the best file format to play videos. This is when you need to export or render out your animations into a video file format such as .AVI or .MOV.

To export or render out animations into a video file format, follow these steps:

1. Go to: File / Export / Render Video
This will display the Render Video menu.

File / Export / Render Video

2. Under Location, this is where you name your video file and select the folder you like to save the video file. Under File Options, Settings is where you tell Photoshop what video file format you want to save as, .AVI, .MOV,3G (for cell phones), FLC, MPEG-4, ect… or you can save it as Image sequences. You will have the option to select the size of the video. The Rage you want to render out and the Render Options are more advance users.

3. When you are done setting up your Render Video options. Click on Render to let Photoshop render out the animations and save it in a video file format you selected.
